We head back up the road tonight with two running in the median auction maiden over 8f as we go into the last week of the 2018 season. Glenburnie are limping into the last week and I will be glad to shut up shop for a bit and get the team rested and ready for next year. We’ve done ok but I’m not happy with our form in September and October and it’s quite obvious that we aren’t performing at our usual rate of consistency but it’s something every trainer has to live with at some stage.

OSMOSIS holds an entry in next weeks HIT sales and this was my last chance to run her before that engagement. She is a backward sort that will only come into her own next year but could be still capable of winning at two. She will appreciate the extra furlong tonight and should run well but would be vulnerable to a ‘good one’. She is honest and light on her feet and I would have liked to run her at Thurles yesterday but we felt it was too firm on such an undulating track to risk her, hopefully she will repay us tonight.

CHERRYVILLE is a filly by Casemento that loves her work and is ready to start. She has a bad draw but I would think that she will need the experience in any case and I’m hopeful that with this run under her belt that she can return back here this winter and win her maiden. She’s a tall leggy filly that should handle this track and how she performs tonight will decide if and when we run her back up here this year.
