We send out four runners at Leopardstown this evening.

Another Thursday evening at Leopardstown and I've declared four tonight. The recent rain has brought the ground back to good and I wouldn't run BENNY PARET on anything faster in the 10f maiden. We were a bit disappointed with his performance last day at Roscommon as he just seemed to be sluggish and going through the motions. We have gelded him since that race and he's ready to start back without any bells and whistles!

LUSTROUS LIGHT is doing well and mentally maturing with every race and I'm very happy with him. Sadly this looks a very strong race to introduce him against the older brigade but then again there's no such thing as an easy Group race over here! This is the next logical step for him and let's see how he handles it before planning his next start.

KUBALI ran a lovely race the last day right up until the last furlong where he simply looked like he didn't get the extended 10f. He's not a straight forward ride but I fancied the 9f here and Evan has been riding him at home most days so is getting used to him. His wide draw is normally a huge negative here but you can't have everything and we will ride him for luck and let the chips fall where they may.

EXPATRIOT ran a blinder he last day and I loved the way he went through the race. He basically only raced for the last 2f and simply met one too good for him on the day. I was adamant to keep him to a proper track and the extra furlong shouldn't hinder him tonight. I just like this fella as he's very straight forward and has a great attitude and temperament for this job and while he may never be a top horse he will be a rock solid performer for his connections.
