A preview of our runners at Fairyhouse this evening

It's a week where we will be light on the ground with runners for no other reason than we have been very busy and we have few horses for the program. I've gelded a good few of our colts that ran recently and they are having a wee break and our next batch aren't just ready to run yet.

It's local racing at Fairyhouse tonight and I only send in the two. Methodology is having his first start and I'm starting him in the claimer. Most will think it's an odd race to start one but on the contrary, I believe we should have plenty more of this type of race and I will always do my best to support them when they're on. It's a great chance to move one on or for another yard to buy one that's ready to run. Obviously the quality won't be great or the horse will be an older type but that's reflected in the price. My lad tonight is ready to run and my feeling is that if he can't be competitive in a claimer then we don't need him, but he may do a job for someone else.

Realt Eile has been a real disappointment this year. Her page got a real boost after we bought her and I thought she would make a nice three year old. She looks fantastic but just isn't trying for us at the races. I step her back up in trip tonight and try cheek pieces for a change, we are very close to running out of options. Luckily enough her pedigree is smart enough for someone to breed with, which is always a good option with a filly. Not so good if you have a gelding!

The Dublin Racing Club are visiting us this afternoon en route to the races and as the weather is lovely I hope they have a good visit. We expect around thirty people here to have a walk around and to see Glenburnie at its finest.
