Only two going to post today at the Curragh on a card which features the Keenland Phoenix Stakes GR1. FULMINATE has her second start in the winners race for fillies over 7f after winning her maiden on debut over 6f at Fairyhouse. This is an ideal race to run her back but I’m not expecting much improvement from her unless the extra furlong brings some. She’s not an extravagant worker at home but seems well and we will see if she is up to carrying her winners penalty. If there’s a potential stakes horse amongst them today then we will be found out.

BUCKY LARSON has done really well physically this summer and I would think that he’s as well today as he’s been all season. He has been very consistent so far and Colin felt that he didn’t let down as well as he’d expected him to at Leopardstown the last day due to the firm ground. The ground today should be lovely and I would expect another solid effort from him and hope he can win again.

Sean won’t be racing as Monaghan are in today’s All-Ireland football semifinal and we hope they win for the Jones’s who are ardent fans. I went yesterday to see Dublin win and was treated to a professional performance from possibly the best team that has ever been.
