3 runners at Cork today.

Off down to Mallow today with three declared to run. Unfortunately the changeable weather could play a part in our results today as their Good to Yielding has a chance of going to Soft! While this won't affect the two in the big handicap it could just scupper ARDHOOMEYs' chance.

He is a stable star and you can see how consistent he's been since I introduced him as a two year old which incidentally was the only time he finished outside the four. He's been in great form this year over the minimum trip but fast ground seems to be the main component for his success. If the ground is good to soft we will take our chance but the more rain that falls the weaker his chance will become.

I run two in the Munster Derby as the prize money is too good not to have a go. INTISARI returned to something like his old self on his last start at Leopardstown. This is a big horse that has needed all the time to mature and I believe we still should see improvement in him. They say weight stops trains but he's a big lad and should be up to shouldering top weight in this. Colin has chosen to stay on him which is interesting as I like the way SYNOPSIS is progressing.

She never shows that much at home as is the case with most 'trip' horses I train but you can't argue with her performances to date on the track for me. Ideally she wants minimum of 12f and soft ground so any rain that falls will suit her. If by chance the rain hasn't changed the ground then I'd be very wary risking her on a quicker surface.
Gary keeps the ride on her and we've agreed to allow him carry a pound or two overweight if he needs to as he knows her and I'd rather see Gary win on her than an outside jock as he works hard for the team and deserves some luck.

Thanks Ger for the comments, insightful as always. Best of luck next week.
