Ragtime Red is our first juvenile runner of the season at Dundalk tonight.

We only have the one runner up here tonight but it just happens to be our first juvenile runner of the season. I want to concentrate on the turf from here on in and in my opinion Dundalk should pull up stumps as soon as the turf starts and be there for emergencies only. My lads were keen to start this Colt up here as he's a good moving athletic type and may want a quicker surface than what's on offer on the grass at the present minute.

RAGTIME RED is by Red Jazz is related to a filly I trained back in the day. He is the only one of mine that is ready to start just now and how he runs will give us a nice indication of what we have here at home. At this time of the year a run under your belt is like having a 5/7Lbs allowance and for that reason it will be hard to finish in front of any of these that have experience. I will be happy with a promising run and if he comes home well to finish in the money it will be a very acceptable performance as he is still growing and should fill out a lot more through the summer.
